- I've just attached a CD-ROM to my A2500, and I'm using the CD0: DosDriver
- that came with KS3.1. My SCSI controller is an A2091.
-
- Is is just me, or isn't it any good?
-
- 1. It doesn't mount CD0: unless there is a disk in the drive at boot.
-
- 2. It doesn't support automatic diskchanges - I have to do it manually.
- I know it isn't the A2091 as it supports diskchange on my Syquest.
-
- 3. When getting a file listing of the mods directory of the Aminet3 disk
- using the Workbench it fails claiming "not enough memory". Checking
- shows that sure enough it's used the entire of my 1M chip ram. The
- BufMemType in the DosDriver is set to 0 (any memory), so why is it using
- chip at all?
-
- Have I (a) messed up the configuration; or (b) is it just substandard?
-
- If (a) what do I need to change?
- If (b) what can I use instead?
-
-
- Thanks,
- Phil.
